Re: Be a Better Writer--VOICE (PART 1)

Just a short comment here. Voice has remained a mystery to me, for some reason. I believe my writing has a distinct voice, for others have mentioned it, and if that is the case, I don't think I am happy with my own voice. I like what I write, but it seems too simple to me. I want to be able to write...

Re: Be a Better Writer--Craftsmanship, and a CONTEST

Wow, there's a lot in this lesson. And that's my point - there is a lot to consider when in any type of writing. Anyone can put words down on paper, but if you want to end up with something others enjoy reading, you must consider more than just the story. But, isn't that how life is? Any job we atte...

Re: Be a Better Writer--ASK AN EDITOR/WRITER/Etc.

Thanks for getting back to me, Jan. My PC is in the shop right now, and my tiny little Acer has very little capacity, so I'm kind of on hold for now. It's only a couple of days, though.

Re: Be a Better Writer--ASK AN EDITOR/WRITER/Etc.

Hi, Jan. I realize this is not your current lesson, but I just came across it. My question is about setting up to be an on-line copyeditor. How do you receive payment. Paypal seems like the obvious answer, but I'm wondering if there might be other acceptable options. Also, what kind of problems migh...

Re: Winners for GUARD YOUR HEART

When this topic was revealed, I remember that someone replied that we should have fun with this one. Well, I did, and in a new style for me, as well. From reading the submissions, I think a lot of us tried something different, and with good results. Keep up the good work, everyone. :clap

What a joy to see this available. I actually did purchase one, but inadvertantly dumped it. But that's not even the worst part. I also printed a copy, and somehow tossed it in the trash when I was sorting through a pile of papers. Talk about feeling foolish!

Writing Articles

I've been following the weekly writing articles done by Linda and Glenn. Is there any way to download all or some of them for printing? It would be so much more convenient to have a hard copy on hand.

Yes, CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYONE! I would guess that the number of ties would indicate the competition is getting really tough, and that is a great blessing. I personally have been inspred to work just a little harder, after reading so many great stories. I was sick when I wrote this entry, so seeing ...

Once again, there were some fun reads this week. I liked my entry, but didn't really expect to see my name here. What a surprise.

Congratulations to all who placed, and to all who entered!
