Oy... this is heavy. I have what I want in my mind, but trying to lead into the entire story in one chapter is a lot harder for this one because it wasn't on my mind for years like Raggedy was.

Hmmm... I thought I'd give the others some time before entering... now I'm not so sure. *evil grin* I'll step aside the polish of Raggedy and start on The Leper before I run out of time.

I'm about a chapter and a half away from finishing Raggedyman, so I'll be working on Leper next.

I keep telling myself I'm finishing my first novel before starting on the second, but since the Main character is based off of a friend of mine, I need to make sure he likes where I'm taking the "inspired" character.

Funny... this being a contest, my goal was to make sure that everyone else doesn't win!

I'm finishing my first one, then going to this one. I already know it's going to be the 'full story' off of this one shot I did for an anthology.

I won the prize for runner up last year and they got half-price on editing. I'm still making sure the page-limit doesn't yet apply to that. :)

Uhm... small bunny trail, but since I got the extention on the 1/2 editing, mine is pushing the 400 page mark. Will I be grandfathered?

Mine is like a car wreck... it's disturbing and uniquely twisted that you can't help at admiring the horror of the situation.

I'm getting my first draft finished just for the sake of having it done and I can flesh it out later. I just want to have the meat of the story there for editing.

She doesn't read horror and she's really squeamish about stuff like this, but now she feels proud because she unintentionally inspired some of the later twisted stuff in the third chapter.

I'll run it though my Goth Journalist friend, and if he says it's a page turner, it's perfected.

Prologue?

I have a brief thing prologue before the first chapter, would it be wrong to include that in the "First Chapter" because it kicks off the mood of the book.

Didn't mean it that way! :P

Sorry if that sounded braggish, but sometimes being delusional gets me the courage to really do it. *Snicker*
