I’m salivating now; just gotta’ have some.
I’m cooking dinner; tasting as I go.
Now I don’t need a meal. I’m full. I know!
I’m lying in bed trying to sleep
Counting rich candies instead of sheep.
Recalling cookies, chocolate chip of course,
Are hidden in the freezer. Will I have remorse?
I just can’t forget them, so golden and sweet.
I’m off to thaw my micro waved treat.
I’m starting to wonder as these episodes proceed,
Is my snacking about hunger or lustful food greed?
To the gym I go; extra pounds are upon.
Much exercise ‘twill take before they are gone.
To the Lord I go, with my guilt and sin,
Dropping to my knees, I repent to Him.
He gently forgives, but chastens me well.
I need to avoid lustful food and its smell!
