Some people may call the situation, which I am about to tell you, a case of ‘women’s intuition.’ Some may even say it is a case of doing something automatically without thinking about it. However, because of the circumstances, I call it an example of his guiding power.
I had finished my exercising and loaded up the dishwasher to wash the dishes. Afterwards, I decided to have my quiet time reading “Guideposts” daily devotional book, and the Bible. I was busy reading when all of the sudden I felt a nudge, or maybe it was a whisper. Whatever it was, it was asking, “Did you put dishwasher soap in the dishwasher”? I read a little more then decided to go check the dishwasher. When I opened its door, to my amazement, there were a lot more suds than usual (to say the least). Naturally after noting some blue ‘Dawn’ dish soap coming from the soap container, I realized that I had put regular dish washing soap in the washer instead of dishwasher soap. After about five minutes, I had the remainder of the ‘Dawn’ soap and suds out of the dishwasher, and restarted it.
Completing my quiet time, I thought, this is just a very small example of his guiding power. He often guides me with a nudge, whispers, and other ways as long as I let him and listen. It lets me know that I can trust him with small, trivial problems as well as the big problems.
Needless to say, I am so thankful for that nudge, or whisper, for I would have had a great big mess to clean up!
