Just plan some seeds in the ground, water the seeds, and watch them grow. Easy. Right? Wrong. Her mistake was not realizing how much labor there is in planting.
She did not looked carefully in the backyard to locate a good selection for her garden. She just picked anywhere to started digging. As reading directions was not part of her nature, it can be safe to say that she did not bother to look at the back of the seeds' packages.
She recalled that she had to dig the holes for the seeds, but she did not know how deep the hole should be. She did not buy any bags of dirt. There was enough dirt in the backyard. Why she did not bother to tilt the soil. How did the garden came out? She dug a few holes before opening the package of carrot seeds.
To her dismay, there was more seeds than holes. She did not want to dig any more. She just put some in the holes. The others went in the locations where her fingers made some small holes. She did the same thing with the tomatoes and onions. Not realizing that the tomatoes had to be cultivate indoors. After watering her garden, Elena put away her garden tools. She did not go near her garden. The birds, however, did go near the seeds. The garden thirst, but Elena believed that the rains would do their part. Expect it did not rain.
Was it any wonder how shock, Elena was when she went to check on her garden three months later. The only thing that grew was weeds and a minuscule bunch of carrots. Actually, it was four carrots that were no bigger than her pinkie. That night, Elena presented the carrots to George who stated that the rabbits must have laughed their heads off when they look over the carrots.
The package was still in her hands, Elena knew better now. The end result is the result of the labor that one puts in. If you are careless, you have weeds. If you are careful and watchful, you have carrots.
Elena putted down the package and went outside .She came back with a shopping cart. It was a lot easier carrying the bags of dirt, the water can, and seeds with the cart. How did that garden came out? Considering, the fact, that she followed carefully the directions on each package of seeds, watering the seeds, and weeding when needed, was it any wonder how that garden grew.
