Created for the journey
not just the destination
make me willing to be willing, Lord
to give over hesitation.

I surrender all today,
remind me still tomorrow
with Your mercy in the morning
that You bear my pain and sorrows.

In the ark of Your presence
I will follow the fire
as I strive through this wilderness
unto the place of Your desire.

This world is not my home
and yet this is the place I live
I will endure and testify
unto Your will I give.

Help me to give as You have
slay me, lay me down
and I'll take up as the Spirit lifts
taking hold of Holy ground.

In the shadow of Your cloud
I'll walk in the way
not turning around or looking down
but lifting my head in praise.

I want to go
I need to know
I long to see You face to face
my heart grieves for my heavenly home
but I will run this earthly race

I want to hear You, Father,
speak my name and hold me.
I long to hear the answers
to all the dreams You ever told me.

Make me ready to be ready
I'm not worthy
but I know Grace
I'm walking with Him step by step
to end in Your embrace.

Beautiful thoughts...Your heart's desire shines within your words...Your spirit sweet shares a fragrance for others like me who share the journey...God Bless you and keep writing -- I know it is music for Our Father's ears...

A very nice poem indeed!

The line about being ready to be ready reminds me of another line often spoken - make me willing to be willing. A lovely poem that made me think of my own desire to be with God and yet fulfil what he has set for me to do now.

Excellent, as always!

The first two stanzas (is that what they're called?) are terrific. From then on, it strikes me as a bit rushed...like you saw you had a great thing going, and ran with it, or something. The rhyme scheme and structure kinda break down a bit, and the content weakens in places...I'd like to see you take your time with this piece and put some unrushed time into re-crafting the second half. I think the potential for this piece is incredible. If you ever rework it, please submit it. I'd love to watch this piece progress.
