There is no peace,
no peace for the wicked!
Oh, but there’s an abundance of peace for me.
He called me
“The light of the world”
and tossed my sins
into the deep of the sea.

There is no peace,
no peace for the wicked,
but it rains on me in abundant showers.
It paints me
tried and true in Him,
clothed like one
of Solomon’s flowers.

There is such peace,
such peace for the righteous
who walk in the light of Jehovah God’s plan.
But no peace
for the wicked ones
who do not fear
the strength in His great hand.

There is no peace,
no peace for the wicked!
I thank you, Jesus, that there is peace for me,
peace that comes
through Your blood-stained Love,
set up for those
who are in love with Thee.

I'm just curious - how did you manage to submit two entries this week? I thought we were allowed only one?
Joyce Poet03/22/04
I'm not sure about how I got away with it, but I do know how I did it. It was purely accidental.
Maybe the site administators will take one of the entries off.
Regarless of whether or not they do, I'm not eligible to win the contest anyway.
Happy writing and many blessings.

I hope the "not eligible to win" is something other than the quality of your poem. I thought I was excellent. It had a nice rythmn to it. I have not founf the other submission yet.

Okay... I have figured out how I managed to get so many posts on the "Endurance" topic... This article isn't even supposed to be in this topic. I posted this in the "Peace" topic. This seems to be a problem with the site. I distinctly remember posting it to the peace topic!
