He tells us to come to him if you are weary,
even if you’re heartbroken and your eyes are teary.
He takes the yoke from off your back.
And gives you another one; there’s nothing you lack.
He gives you everything you will ever need
even spiritual milk on which you feed.
He tells you what to do in times of woe and wrong.
He talks to us when we rejoice with song.
The song lifts our spirits up so high
That we feel we’re with him in the skies.
We soar with him as he carries us through
our good and bad times where with his help we grew.
If we turn our will over to Jesus, our Savior and Lord from above,
The Prince of Peace will come swiftly and gently like a dove.
And you’ll wonder, “Why before have I not done this?
For this is truly a state of bliss.”
