Topic: Failure (03/01/04)

TITLE: Failure Incites A Stick to It Attitude

Did you know that Thomas Edison failed 14,000 times trying to create the light bulb? It is possible that we would not have electricity today if Mr. Edison chose to give up his vision after several failures. This proves that failure isn’t failure until we give up. Instead we are offered an opportunity to try the same thing a new way. Finding the solution to your problem leads you to the road of success. Don’t ever give up if you know you are right! As long as you keep a positive attitude you will succeed!

A ‘stick to it’ attitude requires gumption. This is called ’perseverance’. Persistence demands sacrifice and produces endurance. Jesus displayed perseverance in the Garden of Gethsemane when He said, “Father, if You are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from Me. Yet I want Your will, not Mine” Luke 22:42. He went beyond His human desires and surrendered to His Father’s will because He knew that without His sufferings there would be no hope for mankind.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have no need to fear failure. He will guide you to success through the Word of God. Remember DOERS ARE WINNERS!!!
