Is anyone of you troubled? He should pray.Is anyone happy?Let him sing songs of praise?(James 5:13-15 NIV)
As I view this lovely artic morning, through my front room window. These thoughts entered into my mind. This part is anyone troubled, should pray last night my asthma, made it difficult to breath. So I got and immediately went in to deep prayer mode.I had faith in the Lord,to uphold his promises,of keeping my spirit calm,to trust that he exspand my lungs,so I could breath better. It took a few hours or more, then finally it happened,I was able to breath without laboring every breath. My heat was rejoicing, and sining praises to the Lord.I can fully trust he,will be a true keeper, of his promises.
When I read these passages of scripture, this glorious morning.I felt a great inner soul peace.Reflecting on (Verse 14),anyone who is sick, call on the elders,of the chruch. To annoint with oil,and to do this in Jesus Christ name. The promises of being healed, are a sure thing.(verse 15),offering a prayer in faith, will make sick person well. There is a hymn, which was passing through mind, this morning."Standing On The Promises",this just the first stanza.
Standing on th promises of Christ,my King! Thro' eternal angles let His praises ring."Glory in the highest! I shall shout and sing,Standing on the promises of God.I grateful to be standing of the promises of God.This make me think,of my granddaughter Maya. Two years ago,she was born with her organs outside her little body.It wasn't looking to promising, for her to stay alive long.Through many prayers, and patience,in this child being healed.Glory be to God,he was faithful,in his promises. She is alive today, she has undergone countless surgeries, her hearing is impaired, her speach is very slow. But there is always, the power of prayer,to always be singing praises to him daily. To actually witness, the Lord, being a faithful keeper of all his promises.
Maya is attending a special school to learn how to do sign language.Last year what a blessed time, with a few family members,we were able to drive down to see family.it was a long journey coming from Alaska,to Northern Califorina,my granddaughter Maya, was learning to walk. She was learning to speak. For many years she will need special care.I'm sharing these to two instances, where Jesus Christ, kept his promises,to help me be able to breath better.Where Jesus christ, kept his promises,of restoring life, back into my beautiful granddaughter Maya. There is one prayer,I reffer ot often, this Psalms 91,my prayer of protection.I hold all these promises,of this scripture passage, close to me daily. As the wind gust started whistling around, blowing things around the yard,I will be standing on the promises.Of the Lord,he will keep safe and secure through this gusty day.So I will continue to journey,on this path of prayer, reverence, and scripture reading.Singing heavenly praise to the Lord.
