"Varoom-m-m!" sputtered the moist lips of the child as he pushed his dump truck through the dry dust of the hot summer afternoon.

"Honk, honk!" raised the other youngster, "I'm coming through!"

"You can't drive on my road!"

"Oh yes I can!"

"No you can't!"

"Yes I can - watch me!"

The youngster began to force his firetruck into the lane forged by the dump truck. Soon the two boys were ramming their trucks into each other in a heated attempt to claim the same road.

How often do we, look at our path, our vehicle and begin to lose sight of the direction God has given us? We look at someone else's highway and their vehicle, think it is better, and become discontent.

God has uniquely equipped each of us with our own set of talents, desires, dreams, abilities and skills. All of those are marvelously designed to help us on our path... not on some other path.

Let us learn to be content with the direction God is taking our lives and not be tempted to wander off on someone else's path.

Good advice, Lissa! God fashioned OUR feet for OUR path! The grass isn't greener nor the short-cuts any shorter on anyone elses! :)

Excellent advice, Lissa - using a clear and familiar illustration.
