~ Dedicated to Tia D. Mowry. ~

I see a young woman in my mind
I've kept her hidden in my heart
I don't tell people about her
Because of what they may think of me

I can look into her eyes
I can see her smile
But when I reach out to touch her hand
She isn't there

I've never met her before
She doesn't know I exist
Still, I care for her so much
Though I try to resist

We're not friends
We don't live in the same state
I really don't know who she is
You only leave a person you're with

But as time has passed by
I haven't changed my mind
I've denied her times before
Only to come back to the same place

What would you do if you were me?
What steps would you take?
How can this be
That I've fallen in love with a dream?

I would go to Him who specializes in turning dreams into reality as He turned water into wine, and ask Him to perform a wonder with my dream. i assure you, He sure will! Great poem. Totally enjoyed it! Keep winning and shining for Jesus!

She sounds exquisite. :o) I'm sure that she's just as smitten... whether she's aware of your poem and/or feelings or not. Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven...
