How I feel about you?
I can't explain or describe
But, I can try...
It's like the sound of beautiful music,
Well orchestrated with violins and pianos,
Guitars, percussions and drums.
The sound of this music goes on in my heart,
For I hear it all the time.
Sometimes I wonder if the music will end,
But then, I realize that Iíll only keep
Hearing it, if I keep listening.
The music only stops when I stop listening.
How I feel about you?
I can't really explain or describe
But I can try...
It's like dancing in a circle
To the music I keep hearing.
There, I find myself
Moving, turning, twisting, jumping and swaying
In ways I thought I could never attain.
Sometimes I wonder if Iíll get tired of dancing
But then, I realize that as long as
I keep listening to the music,
I'll keep dancing dexterously.
How I feel about you?
I can't really explain or describe
But, I can try...
It's like singing
Singing the most beautiful song in the world
With the most sonorous voice ever created.
I lift my voice
And there's a rich blend of soprano, tenor, alto and bass all in one voice.
Quite impossible, one may think
But that's just how I feel, thatís the way it is.
Sometimes I wonder if my voice would just crack
And I won't be able to sing anymore
But then I realize that
If I keep listening and dancing, Iíll keep singing
Without a cracked voice.
Though I can't really explain,
Though it's so indescribable,
I know it's a feeling borne straight
From the heart,
And as long as my heart still beats,
This feeling will never, ever, fade away...

Teseri, I loved this poem. I loved all the analogies to music, being a music lover myself. Nice job.

You stole my attention from beginning to end! If there was anything whatsoever to be improved upon, I think that maybe you should have broken it up into parts/stanzas just before each "How I feel about you?" Outside that, it was perfect! It portrayed a deep, true love that is most indescribable. Thank you for blessing us so much!
Tesiri Moweta12/15/04
Thank you Joyce, I'll certainly try that out!

I loved this, Tesiri, but I agree with Joyce. It would make the beautiful repetition much more effective. When words fail us, music rescues: "Forever" is a wonderful combination that sings.

I loved it. I agree with Joyce about breaking it up. I want to pause where the writer pauses, and feel the full effect. Great symbolism here.
