Today I searched and found
An old, spiral-bound notebook
From high school.

On itís pages
Are hopes of romance.
A teenage girlís dreams.

MY DREAM MAN
By: Teresa N. Lee/age 17

Sometimes when Iím all alone
With nothing else to do;
Iíll lay my head down in my hands
And begin my thoughts of you.

I really donít know who you are
Or when Iíll see your face,
But someday, by fate, weíll meet
In a very special place.

And from the moment that we meet
With an unmistakable glance,
Weíll stay together making
Our sweet, heavenly romance.

*****

Thank you, Lord,
For making this girlís dream
Come true.

Teresa Lee Rainey/much older than 17

Very Sweet. I'm so glad that God answers our "dream man" prayers. He knows me better than myself, so much he sent me above and beyond!

This kinda reminds me of that song 'Waiting for You.' That song is one of those that I just picked up the lyrics to immediately. I guess it's because it ministers that part of my life that would say to whoever he is: "I'm waiting for, waiting for you, Darling. Wait for me too." He answered your prayers and I'm certain He will answer mine as well... absolutely certain. Patience! Patience! Thank you for the encouragement.

This poem actually gave me chills! (smile) Dearie, if I only had one more vote left, it would be yours. I loved it. You go girl!

Teresa,
I like how you took the reader back in time. Great job.

Just terrific! I love this. Mine would have to be a thank you to God for NOT answering my foolish teenage dreams of love and giving me the REAL thing instead! Great job.
