Who gives needed comfort
when emotions rise so high?
Who is there to steady me
as I aspire to fly?
Only you.

Who restores my confidence
and hope when hope is gone?
Who reminds me when Iím down
To watch for shining dawn?
Only you.

Who can share my secret thoughts
And every circumstance?
Who forgives me every time
And grants another chance?
Only you.

Whose fervent and yet gentle touch
still brings forth in me
a passion burning deep and strong
that blooms in ecstasy?
Only you.

Youíre the one who gives your love
no matter what the cost;
without your presence here with me
I know I would be lost.

Avidly you share your life
and love wholeheartedly;
youíre my one and only mate,
Heaven sent for me.

Over weeks and months and years
Our love will always stay;
Who will I see by my side
When I am old and gray?
Only you.

dedicated to my dear husband of 14 years

I've written a poem close to this too for someone really close and special to me so I can't help but appreciate it all the more. Great work!
Keep winning and shining for Jesus.

Thank you.

It's so good it makes me alittle sad that no one has ever written a poem to me. But then again, thanks to His grace and Mercy, I know it was never about me anyways. It's about Him. Peace.

How sweet! I know your husband is honored by this. If it's even possible for men to get giddy, I bet he was as he read it. Very good read!

This is a wonderful poem. The words were chosen carefully and works in well with this piece. I hope you are knocking on the doors to the greeting card companies. They need poems like this. Wonderful job!
