TITLE: In God’s Favor
By Deborah Shepard

Today as I reading from, In Touch Devotional, there was sentence that touched my heart and soul. Every time I have obeyed God, he has blessed me. As I studied the outline in my Family Concordance, blessed is referred to as object of God’s favor. This was a beautiful revealing to my soul. To know God has found favor in me, and has blessed me from my life’s beginning. Even though many traumatic circumstances have befallen me since my youth, God has found favor in me from the beginning.

Today my house is quite, I’m alone for a while, to reflect on this life’s journey of being blessed. The intensity of life has tried to bring me down, to keep me under pressure, to take my focus off the Lord, and my prayer time too. The Lord revealed to me, when the battle is raging, always remember “It is Finshed”, the battle is over, the victory been one. In you I find favor, and your steps of obedience to go out and spread the good news bless you. I’m the truth, the life, and the way.

To all who I place before you daily. I’m with you always, if I’m for you who can be against you. What a glorious reassuring message, to receive during these holidays. This brings peace and a reverence to my soul. I will share this story with all of you. Many years ago I lived in South Carolina, one I was going about my business. And a car with three people abducted me. And sold me to a person for $200.00, just because they needed money. This was definably a terrifying ordeal; if I tried to escape they kill me.

The person they sold me too, went to work one day, I ran away to seek help, and I was quite shaken up for a long time. Just to think even through life threatening situation, the Lord our God found favor in me, and blessed me. He made a path of me to break free from these oppressor’s. There were countless events that happened to me, that were life threatening, living on the “Island of Oahu”, my experience I walking down the street with a few friends. Before I knew to great big islanders were grabbing me and walking away with me.

I made such a fuss and carried on my friends came to my rescue. A lot of islander’s don’t care for outsiders. Going through so many life challenges, I never could grasp the fact, that the Lord our God had blessed through all of the bizarre situations. Today I can understand the full meaning of being blessed by the Lord. My mother always say,” no matter where you are”, the full impact of disaster’s seem to go around you. There was a time in high school, it was pouring rain, and my friends wouldn’t even give ma ride home.

We lived about one mile from the high school, I ask the Lord to cover and protect me. When I arrived home I wasn’t even wet, my mother said, “You must have gotten a ride home.” I told her no I walked all the way home. The explanation the Family Concordance, give for being blessed.

(1). We are chosen
(2.) We believe
(3). We are forgiven
(4). We are justified
(5.) We are chastened
(6.) We keep God’s word.

(Psalms 1: 3 NIV) Blessed is the one who reads the words of the prophecy, blessed are those who hear it and take heart what is written in it, because the time is near. I always sign off my letter’s and e-mails may you have a very blessed day. God Bless I love to share my multitude of life blessings with all. What a cheerful holiday thought to know above all else, we are God’s chosen and blessed people. I pray this holiday season will all go forth, share is blessed and heavenly light with all.

Thank all of you for being part of my extended family in Jesus Christ. Let all rejoice with a happy and blessed heart, to let over loving cup of spiritual love, and compassion, to touch people love’s that are without a family. To celebrate this holiday’s, there are so many forgotten people. It’s not possible to help all, but the one’s we can help, I pray our spirit of Godly love, will light up someone’s heart in need of our spiritual love.
