I don’t consider myself blessed because I have a nice home,
Nor do I consider myself blessed because of all that I own.
I don’t consider myself blessed because of the people in my life.
I don’t consider myself blessed because of deliverance from misery and strife.
I don’t consider myself blessed because of my financial stability.
I don’t consider myself blessed because of my writing ability.
I don’t consider myself blessed because of anything I have or possess;
But, I must take this time to acknowledge and confess
That I consider myself blessed because God is concerned about my soul,
And my eternal end is His purpose, mission and goal.
I consider myself blessed because God was so willing to give
His only begotten Son so that I would have the opportunity to live.
I consider myself blessed because God first loved me
So that one day, with Him, I can spend eternity.
