Tears flowed freely as Alicia whispered to Michael, “She’s listening! She’s listening! Keep repeating The Words!”

Commissioned by Mighty Warrior since the beginning of time, Alicia and Michael were used to challenges. Sharon was no exception....

In a small southern town in the United States, life’s miracle catapulted into the lives of two people engaged in a one-night-stand involving too much whiskey and too little will power. Seven and a half months later, weighing barely three pounds, pale-eyed Sharon entered the world. Singing lullabies only angels know, Alicia sang her to sleep night after night, comforting her through years of neglect.

Alicia worked solo until Michael was assigned as her partner. Working days without rest, they were on guard at all times, routinely encountering powerful opposition. Once, the Resistance met them head on with methamphetamine addiction and a suicide attempt, almost terminating the assignment. In fact, Alicia was injured when she stood between Sharon and the Resistance, but the prayers of Sharon’s grandmother, Esther, intervened and Truth prevailed.

When Sharon was seventeen she had a child of her own. This was the first time she heard The Voice of Mighty Warrior. Alicia was there; she echoed His name. Humbled over the altar of despair with the life of her child in jeopardy, Sharon earnestly prayed, pleading for the frail life. Michael fought against the Resistance until the Blood flowed. He was victorious and the child’s life was spared.

Sharon went to church for a little while after that, but the Resistance dwelling deep within the heart of a handsome Masquerader repeated the lies of the Resistance until Sharon believed they were Truth. She swam in the Lake of Confusion for a long time and Alicia and Michael wielded their swords unlike no other time before. Sharon and her daughter narrowly escaped the Resistance’s final stronghold.

Sharon heard The Voice again while she cleaned out her grandmother’s desk a couple of years later and read over the Words of Truth copied from The Book. Alicia and Michael repeated the Words, but Sharon’s heart was calloused from the lies of the Masquerader and she could not hear them.

Now, five years later, Sharon stood at The Door of Decision. She was listening. She was reading the Words of Life from Esther’s tattered Book. Michael repeated them over and over in her ear. Sharon was kneeling. She was praying. She was asking Mighty Warrior to heal her, to cleanse her, to come into her heart.

Alicia began to cry. The Resistance was defeated. Sharon was saved!

“….there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."

Powerful stuff again. I liked the telling of the story from the angels perspective. Fresh and interesting. Great job!
