TITLE: To the Throne! To the Throne!
By Robin Wisch

Lucifer moved effortlessly through the stones of fire on the holy mount. The Archangel gazed at his brilliant coverings and his eternal stones. His eyes bolted across the eternals.

Suddenly, something hidden occurred within the Covering Cherub. There was union…but not with the Creator.
Enraptured by his beauty, a thought occurred within Lucifer. It began with "I". Since, every thought had always been about the Creator, "I" had never been experienced.
Shortly, “WILL” stirred within the Star of the Morning. Deep within the Archangel, "I will," joined together. Contemplating this "I will," another thought rumbled from Lucifer’s spirit: "BE". Perceptively, he combined them, "I...WILL...BE." He tried to grasp the enormity this concept. "There is only one ‘I AM;’ there can be no other.”

Lucifer reexamined his beauty. "My glory is unmatched in all of the eternals. I am altogether beautiful. I…will…no...I AM."

Appearing at his Creator's side, the Archangel, for the first time ever...flickered. Michael, the Avenging Archangel, noticed it, immediately. Michael’s sole purpose was to protect his Lord. His protective nature instantly raged within him. He wanted to un-sheath his mighty sword, having been fashioned from the stones of fire. Suddenly, Michael felt his Lord…within, “stay your hand …now is not the time." Relaxing, Michael bowed to his Lord. Stepping back, his flaming eyes met Lucifer's.

Quickly, Lucifer flew from the Throne. Michael turned to his Lord. "Soon, Michael, soon," echoed in his spirit.

Streaking across the spirituals,” I...WILL...BE...AS...GOD," crashed violently into Lucifer’s being. "I am above the Most High,” he roared.

Momentarily, Lucifer birthed a new creature: Sin. He reveled gleefully, seeing the heinous duplication of himself. Moments later, Sin birthed Lucifer’s grandson: Death! Satan laughed delightfully at the infernal sight. Death reeked with insatiable corruption. The unholy trinity: Satan, Sin and Death, gazed longingly at one another.

Lucifer easily bent the minds of a third of the angelic host. Pride was officially born in Satan’s horde. Heaven had a rebellion on its hands!

"To the Throne! To the Throne!" Michael commanded his warriors as he flew towards the Creator, his mighty hand on his pulsating sword.

Instantly, a chilling swarm of rebellious angels, poured into the Throne room. Swords drawn, they slashed right and left. Demons clamored wildly in undisciplined fervor. Lucifer's front lines were cut down, immediately. Shortly, Bealzubub’s principalities entered the fray. The battle was enjoined. Cunningly, the Angel of Light soon began to prevail.

Michael reached for his weapon. “Stay your hand," resonated within his spirit. "Yes, my Lord," he answered kneeling before his Lord.

The heavens shook as angelic swords clashed. The eternals were nearly torn apart when the warfare abruptly ceased. Before the Throne, the Rebellious One approached.

Michael, kneeling obediently, remained still. Lucifer, evil eyes shimmering, commanded, "The Throne is mine…for I AM!" The Creator did not respond.

"Now, Michael. Unleash your mighty sword. Drive My Adversary from the heavens!" The words exploded within the Avenging Angel. Instantly, Michael stood between Lucifer and the Creator. His double-edged sword pulsated with brilliance. Even Lucifer could not bear it. Experiencing terror for the first time, Satan’s warriors fell prostrate. Even the Evil One, himself, stumbled backwards.

"You are not my foe, Avenging Archangel. The Creator is my enemy," barked the Evil One. "But I am your foe!" declared Michael, "and your enemy for eternity…and I will drive you to destruction!"

Michael raised his terrifying weapon bringing it down hard onto his Enemy. Satan blocked it with his sword, but the blow knocked him to his knees. Repeatedly, Michael struck his Adversary. Defenseless against this onslaught, Satan vainly tried deception, but found nothing within Michael to grasp. Michael forced his foe to the precipice of the portal. Looking down, Lucifer saw a dark abyss. It bid to him, "come!"

Michael stood over his enemy; drawn sword overhead. Satan glanced up from one knee. Unexpectedly, the Avenging Angel lowered his sword. Angels gasped! Demons cheered!

"We shall finish this another day, my Enemy," declared Michael. Staring into Satan's eyes, Michael sheathed his weapon. Lucifer rose to confront his foe. His already grotesque face formed a heinous smile, "you cannot do it, O Avenging Angel," bellowed the Evil One. Michael’s holy eyes bore into Lucifer. “The Lord rebuke you, Satan," he commanded.

Suddenly, the Evil One was cast over the precipice into the abyss below. With him went his demons into the darkness.

“…so I cast (rejected) you as a profane thing from the mountain of God …and the guardian cherub drove you out…” Ezek. 28:16

Excellent work. I loved the beginning when Lucifer turned his thoughts from God to himself - really the way all sin begins. Very descriptive and believable.
