Topic: Rejection (11/15/04)

Rejected, but well respected.
Disliked, but yet protected.
Flaws, not yet perfected.
Talked about, but not affected.
Misunderstood, but most effective.
My sins erased, not to be reflected.
My need for love, never to be neglected.
Iím special to Him, for in the womb I was elected.
His word down in me, from my soul ejected.
My eternal future already projected.
Follow the cross, Iíll never be misdirected.
No other gods before me will ever be erected.
His blood for me will never be rejected.

As long as we have the cross in focus, we can see the salvation of the Lord in our lives. When the enemy tries to flood our mind with feelings of rejection and emptiness, know that the Lord fills every void. Know that like the prodigal son, we can always come back to Him in repentance and He will receive us with open arms. The Lord never rejects His children or His creation when they seek Him with an open heart.

I love this poem. It conveys the idea of being totally accepted. Blessings.
