“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6

Science and technology has rapidly developed and enhanced & has made our life easy; it has also affected the Christians as it has stolen the quality time from us which the prior church in apostles era use to enjoy as they praised, worshipped by sitting in the presence of the Lord Almighty. Today most of the churches are passing through the spiritual wilderness as the falling away and backsliding continues. We Christians are in a race to be successful in the profession, in our career, choosing life partner, raising a ideal family, gaining status in society, thirsty for publicity, fulfilling there physical, financial, and psycho-socio desires and wants, they hunger and thirst for all the worldly things & they are so involved in there life style that they deprive there spiritual condition. For people as these bible gives us an example of the rich fool who had land which bore good crops and it was so good that he began to think himself that I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, where I will store my corn and all my other goods, I will say to myself that I am a lucky man, I have all the good things needed for many years, so take life, easy, eat, drink, & enjoy yourself! But what God replied, “You fool! This very night you will give up your life; then who will get all these things you have kept for yourself?” Jesus concluded, “This is how it is with those who pile up riches for themselves but are not rich in God’s Sight.” Let us not always be concerned about what we will eat and drink, rather be concerned with His kingdom and He will provide us with these things.”

Great examples lay before us regarding the thirst and hunger of doing righteous act and life lived by the mighty men of God, the best of all is of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, He being the son of the Living God did not kept on as Son of God but bible says that He came as the son of human mother and lived under the Jewish law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might become God’s sons. Jesus Christ right from His childhood to His cruxificon hungered to do the will of Heavenly Father and when He achieved it; our Heavenly Father did not let Him see the corruption of His body in Grave but He resurrected Him and glorified Him by making Him as the judge and saviour and the source of eternal life to us. Another example is of St. Paul who once use to persecute the church become great and mighty men of God, he went through lot of persecutions, he was prisoner more times, he had been three times whipped and five times he had been given thirty-nine lashes, three times his ship wrecked and in many travels he had danger from floods and robbers, often gone without sleep and food, shelter and clothing and why did he endured all this things for the sake of us we the gentiles that the Gospel of the Lord can reach unto us, it was his hunger of righteousness that has given him the eternal joy and peace, which has helped him to run the race of faith and to receive the crown of Glory from our Lord Almighty.

Bible says our bodies are not only meant for satisfying physical and other hunger but its more then that through our bodies we should glorify Lord Almighty for we are been purchased by the blood of the Lamb, and so henceforth its not we should control our life rather we should dedicate our bodies as Living Sacrifices to the Lord Almighty & remember that prosperity does not come east, west, north or south direction but it is Lord Almighty who blesses each one of us, so let us hunger for righteousness and God our Creator who knows every desires of our heart will meet our requirements as per the riches and Glory of Christ Jesus-God bless us.
