Praying night and day are really needed for our generation of today. They are so in love with the designer clothes and other items that; the mother or whoever buys their clothes must have a famous designer label or the items are consider as being cheap!

I was in a department store buying my four- year old niece a coat. All of a sudden, I heard little children about five or six year old telling their mother that, if you don’t take us to the Gap and buy our coats, we are not going to school! I said to myself, they are blessed their mother is buying them jackets to keep them warm. The mother sadly said to me, “do you have any children? I said, “no.” And, I told her, if I had children, I would be the boss not them. She yells at them to put their coats on. She said, “lets go to the “Gap.”

The children are so much in love with material items that, they can’t even put God first in their life. I hear many children talk about their designer clothes, saying, “they would never be caught without designer jeans. They don’t acknowledge the Lord.

God doesn’t get any tape of praise from this new generation. Every thing is all about them and their sneakers, jewelry, caps, and well paid coats. This generation doesn’t think about going to church and worshiping the Lord. They are much more into themselves.

We really know who is the greatest designer? The greatest designer is Jesus, Jesus designed our world and everything that he designed was made without a wrinkle or spot,
God put man and women here first, and Jesus worked and has given that work knowledge to man.

With great sadness I have to agree with your observations of today, that the children are the bosses. Only the Lord can change the hearts of parents and allow them to be the authority figure and example of the Lord Jesus in their child's life.Time is short and the fields are definately white for a harvest. We must be diligent in our calling to serve. God Bless

You have made me very thankful that we can't afford to buy our children designer clothes. Thanks!!

I like your article. It is sad to see that God blessed them to be able to have clothes or matter fact anything in general. If they would acknowledge that, just think of how the world would be!

i'm sorry i meant to say that its sad to see that eventhough God had blessed them with those clothes they dont or are grateful for it. Sorry bout that.

Today, children are the niche for the marketing professionals. I feel this is so because we as parents have failed to train them in the way of the Lord.

yep, we're praying to take back our generations.
