Topic: Insulted (11/01/04)

TITLE: "Insulted"
By Joshua - Ashish Macwan

As we are living in the end times, we as Christians are witnessing some gruesome time as the biblical prophecies are getting fulfilled on the daily basis, as revealed by the Lord Almighty in His word of God. In 2 Timothy: 3verse 2 we are foretold by the Lord Almighty that in the last days there will be a difficult time and how will people behave with each other in general and as a community in whole. St. Peter men of God tells us that in end times people will be insulting. So many times we as Christians are been insulted from within oneself, family, church and world; and we often get aggravated, but we should remember that being insulted and discipleship of Christ goes hand in hand. We should remember that before us our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus was insulted for us, for our infirmities, iniquities and transgressions, to save us from this present evil age He became the Passover Lamb, what not He went threw before getting crucified; He was betrayed, denied and left alone by His own disciples, He was arrested as an outlaw and accused by His own people; He was stripped and was put on by scarlet robe with a crown made of thrones; mocked, beaten and insulted, spitted as an object of scorn by the soldiers; judged and ridicule by the gentile King to be crucified outside the city along with bandits: Even when He was crucified they divided His clothes among themselves by throwing dice, He was mocked and insulted by the by-standers and one of the bandits; He was forced to drink cheap wines soaked in the wine , put on a stalk of hyssop symbolically representing that the cup of wrath what we had to drink, He drank for us but He endured all these things and didn’t even open mouth or complained rather He asked Father in the Heaven to forgive them and due to His obedience to the Heavenly Father death was not able to corrupt Him and by the power of Holy Spirit Jesus Christ was resurrected and has been given Glory by the Father in the Heaven where at present He intercess for us as our High Priest so that we can receive the Grace and Mercy whenever we are in need of from our Heavenly Father; coming soon to take His bride His Church and to receive Glory from all His people and Honour from all who believe Him and to them He will bless with citizenship of Heavenly Jerusalem and bless them ever-lasting life.

Bible says that we as believers in Christ Jesus are been given the privilege of serving Christ not only by believing in Him but by also suffering for Him, so if we are insulted we should remember before we were our Lord Jesus Christ was insulted for us and He has said that being His followers we will also be insulted and persecuted but no slave is greater then His master; so know when we are insulted we should be filled with joy, dance and sing for if we are insulted then it means that the glorious Spirit the Spirit of the Lord Almighty rests upon us & our sufferings shows that God is treating us as His sons.

A little while of insult and then eternal peace and Joy, so then lets ask God to fill us with His Spirit and remember His promise that “ Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers. Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before were persecuted.”(Matthew 5:11,12)

Whenever we feel insulted Just look upon the cross…………….. “But I, when I am lifted up from the earth will draw all men to myself.” ( John 12:32)

Thanks for the reminder to look on the cross when we are insulted. After all, that's where they were born aloft, as the nails piercing the flesh. They were covered by that flowing blood, carried into the heart of God, and knew forgiveness.
Thanks for sharing God's word on this issue. Be blessed.

Many truths and reminders are woven into your article. As Christians we are certainly a target for the insults, however, they are a blessing since they confirm we are close to the Lord.
