There are many differences in this world
Like the differences of a boy and girl
The ones with lots of hair and the ones that are bald
The singles and the married
The fat and the small
The nice and the mean
The short and the tall
The faithful and the cheaters
The adults and babies that crawl
The honest and the liars
The dead beats and the ones on the ball
The college grads and the GED
The used to be friends and the friends for the long haul
The happy and the sad
The office workers and workers at the mall
The party animal and the home bodies
The peace lovers and those who love to brawl
The rich and the poor
The punctual students and the ones who miss roll call
No matter what, everyone has a common bond
The Lord is the maker of them all

Proverbs 22:2: The rich and the poor have a common bond. The Lord is the maker of them all.

I like this poem. It might have started off a bit like prose, but one soon got into the hang of the alternate rhyming. I agree we do all have a common bond. Thanks for sharing.

I like this. Simple, neat and makes a good point.

This made me think. It made me think that yes, God has made them all - but also we have had a hand in it too - we make people rich and by our selfishness, we make people poor. We contribute a lot to whether are pople are mean or not by the way we treat them. It just provoke me to think about what I amke people to be too.
