We all over hear conversation from time to time. Whether it is standing in the check-out line, or the cubicle next door, it seems rare to hear stories that supports purpose and function to our universe. I struggle to remember conversations that would support direction in our world-this has a bearing on how we view God's intelligence and power.
Yet, in the background is a resonating sound, like that emerging soprano that shines forth from the distance and takes over the choir. It is a word- design.
There is another word-random, and it has to be the furthest thing from this word design. Design implies organization, purpose and function. Whether it is the heavens, the earth, the lady in front of me at the check-out line, or the smiles on people's faces, it all had to be built from the ground floor up. None of it was created randomly. It was all organized, it all had intention, it all had- design. Yes, if the universe were clothing...the tag on the cashmere shirt would read- "Designed by God".
