He can satisfy my every need, but do I let him?
He provides the food and air I breath, but do I thank Him?

He gave me life, and life again, but I have I lived it?
According to the rules He’s set with faith and love, committed.

When I’m hurt He heals my pain, do I take His cure for granted?
Forgetting, oh so quickly, that I prayed for what I’d been handed.

He’s designed me with His perfect hand, still I am discontent.
I’ve complained about His workmanship and change what I’ve been sent.

He’s loved me when I’m unlovable and hears my heart’s desires.
But when I’ve received His blessing do I cast them to the fire?

Will I ever be content, faithful, true and pure?
No one’s ever done for me the things He has before.

My soul is tainted from the past but He’s made it good and true.
So I can spend eternity and be satisfied through and through.

This is very good. I usually don't comment on poetry, since I'm so hard to please when it come to this genre, but this is good. The flow is a little rough, and it could have used a less safe ending, but the content is terrific.

Thanks for posting this.

Wendy,
Such a nice poem! The content is great, offering so much truth as to how we can often think. Do I sense a new found love in poetry for you?
Jo
