This, the season of boney trees,
Their lovely skin scattered,
Faded now and wind-tossed,
Brings us to the manger.
That rock bowl intended
For animal fodder.
But, one moment in time,
Holding a baby meant
To feed many...
The Bread of life.

The noble tree,
Stripped of it's glory,
One moment in time,
Held the glory of God
Nailed to its spine.
Born in a feed-trough.
Nailed on a cross.
The Bread of life.

Good choice of words, good rhythm, good poem. You really have a grasp on keeping it short but with a powerful message. Great job!
