Tears, tears, tears tears;
Cares, worries, pains & fears,
As tears come out; ‘tis clear;
Do we then need fear tears?
All our agony distills as tears,
They signify our pain,
They embody all our fears
And sometimes bring us gain!
Each tear in prayer shed,
The Lord’ll bottle up for sure;
They rouse me from my bed,
They make me life endure!
Tears help us to unwind,
And bring our concerns out;
Which clog and pain the mind,
And are better emitted out!
Tears often serve to oil our life,
They smoothen and soften strife;
They help us run to hold another,
And pitch in his spot of bother!
Tears also tell of turning back,
From deeds which are so black;
They help us turn towards our Lord,
Basking well in the light of His Word.
Tears shed from a sorry mind,
Help others to be kind;
They help us oft to unwind,
And others’ wounds bind!
Of course, there are the other tears,
Which are of joy not fears;
They spill out free and proud,
And help us laugh aloud!
Tears, tears, tears, tears,
Painful, touching and moving;
They offer to us, much healing,
From cares and worries: redeeming!
They serve physically you and me,
They keep our eyes moist and clean;
They help us clearly to see,
And heal the hurts unseen!
Tears are thus for healing,
They also are for caring;
They are for us when we weep’
And serve to let us sleep!
Tears, tears, tears tears;
Cares, worries, pains & fears,
As tears come out; ‘tis clear;
Do we then need fear tears?
