tears unbidden flow
down flawless ivory cheeks
pain racks both body and soul
as the salty river runs

tears unbidden pour
over weathered weary skin
relief floods heart and mind
as the salty river runs

tears unbidden stream
from a tired broken heart
despair wells up with fury
as the salty river runs

tears unbidden rush
with a smile and a song
joy cascades from thankful spirit
as the salty river runs

tears from heaven rain
over all who cry below
in our joy and in our sadness
as the salty river runs

This was an awesome poem - your words were beautiful! Unfortunately, I don't think it hit the 150 word minimum to be included in the editor's choice picks but sometimes a few words is all you need.
Well done! Blessings, Lynda

I love the repeat and the poem has a very nice flow. Great job!

Rebekah, This was a very good entry. It has good rhythm and a good flow with repetition throughout. It is too bad it was too short for the editor's choice.
Blessings

like how you tied the opening line of each verse.
