I made you day by day
Creating you with my spoken words
a god unknowingly wielding power of dismay
I stand here in your shadow
Where evil flowed its tangled web of lies
When I stood here as a child
In tears I made you beneath a wicked sky
I turned my back to you and wished
That you would somehow disappear
Out of sight, out of mind a myth of deceit
Your darkness entertwined with loathing fear
But when I turned to face you
I see the masks of years in misery
I break each one on a stone of truth
I gather my childhood tears and set them free
Like flutterbys lifting to a waiting wind
The mountain begins to shake and rumble
Its desperate and final attempt to control
I find my voice of a man, and begin to mumble
Rising from deep within my loins
Comes a mighty voice racing out to destroy
"I command you to the sea to be remembered no more"
Looking where the mountain once stood, a boy
I reach out my arms to him
And he smiles and runs to embrace
Lets go home, Daddy God is waiting
And we turn and look upon His face
