It’s such a quiet still night. If only the world was as peaceful! My heart is heavy. And what more can I say? This is almost more than my humanness can bear! If only Adam and Eve had obeyed, life would still be the garden of Eden! Now, there isn’t a soul who doesn’t know sin. Oh, the tragedy of it all! Some people are weak and easily give in to the devil’s temptations. Yet there are many who love you Father. They try to obey the laws, to be obedient, but they lack the power. Oh evil situations, how dreadful are your outcomes! If only there was another way! If I didn’t have to bear the cross! Father, if you are willing, remove this from me. Nevertheless, not my will but your will be done.
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. Luke 22:43
Father, I don’t want to leave my mother and family, nor my friends and those who have befriended me, who accept me for who I really am! They are still babes in faith, needing guidance. If only I could stay a while longer, I could help so many others! Hearts need mending, the cripple and diseased need healing. Souls are perishing! Human pain is so hard to bear! I have endured pain and I’ve had my heart broken by deceitful, unbelieving “so called” friends. Yet my pain has been nothing compared to what I’ve seen others suffer. And I’ve seen others suffer and die hanging from a cross. If it be possible, Father, "Let me not have to suffer the agony that lies ahead!” Nevertheless, not my will, but your will be done.
I have obeyed you Father. I have given them your word. I have completed the work you sent me to do. But, oh Father, “Does it have to end like this?” I am dreadfully weary. I feel so hot! My body is trembling! I’m down on my knees asking, Father, “Let this hour pass from me? Yet, not my will, but your will be done.”
Jesus, my heart is breaking, but it must be done! There is no hope for man unless you follow through. I will be right there with you! Soon, when it’s over, you will sit in the kingdom at my right hand of power. You have brought me glory. I am well pleased with you, my Son. Now, I will bring you glory. The earth will be your footstool until the enemy has been destroyed! There will be hope for all people. We will not leave them comfortless. The Holy Ghost will descend to live within each believer’s heart. They will be free of trying to obey the law. He will empower them to live righteous and be victorious over evil. Each one can know us and seek answers individually. The Holy Ghost will reveal the truth unto them. All people will have free will to accept or reject the words and life you live. Heaven or hell, it’s up to them. This is the way it has to be.
Father, I understand. I accept what I must do for humanity and surrender my life into your hands.
It is time! I must go...
