Rain! rain that is beauty in life,
Rain that is dewdrops of love,
Rain that is mercy in God,
Is come … to rain us to blessed region!
See! it is come unto man
And he walks not along thistle land;
He carries not a parched heart,
Nor doth tread - upon sinuous ways.
Rain is upon the all-land!
Rain that is Holy deed in man,
- It that showereth to righteousness;
Same as love … that bought us from sin!
Meekly the grass is drenched
- Grass that is every man on Earth
- For humble truth and shining love
Drank rightfully, - from the river Word!
‘Shine away into now,’
Many an Angel I hear say
‘- As children in the Holy Rain,
Upon the bower of His raining love’
Be cleaned by the merciful showers,
From rot of yester–life!
Swim into the deluge,
That floods to renowned blisses!
The trumpet is rung, -
Song downward streams,
From clouds with Emmanuel,
Spreading … watery love to all!
No! none is to huddle indoors
From the dewy drops,
Though sins be scarlet,
For the drops do rhyme … to Holy saintness!
The air, - wings to rapturous delight
Assuring … through the bathing showers, -
Rain–love shall ever adorn,
Man unto breezes of God!
See! - in composure beautiful -
How the drops sparkling pour
- Men from pigmy selves!
- O joyously … to be as God!
Father as child swim in the deluge,
And mother and daughter likewise live,
- Attuned to the rain, the fair flooding streams,
Clean with bread–life, - that is solely Godly.
Hail often, upward rains,
Voice-fully awakened, triumphantly gladful,
That drought shall never scorch
Man to secluded dingy deeds!
And to ears, - self judgement is shed
And grandeur hugs submissively
Making God beatifiedly announce
Man His! - to eternal times!
