Rain down on me, Lord God.
Rain down on me, I pray.
Rain down on my thirst for your forgiveness.
Rain down on my soul today.
Rain down on me, Lord God.
Rain down on my empty spirit, I pray.
Rain down on my dry, barren life.
Rain down on my soul today.

Shower me with your goodness and mercy.
Shower me with your compassion and love.
Shower me, Oh Lord, with the gifts of your Spirit, fresh from Heaven above.

Rain down on me, Father God.
Rain down on me, I pray.
Rain down on my parched life, with your mercy.
Rain down on my soul today.
Rain down on me, Father God.

Cheaters never prosper, Deborah! Looks like a double entry this week! LOL - just kidding! Inspiration must have hit you hard with "rain".
Couldn't decide which one to submit so you just decided not to decide?? :-)
I enjoyed them both. Good job!
Love, Lynda

Double entry or not, this would be another beautiful song. :)

I could feel the music for this poem. You were truly inpired. Blessings.
