What were the rules to this game
Everyone cheats and no one is to blame.
In training to be a man, can't live like before
Then the child slowly finds the door.
Like wearing sunglasses when there is no sun.
Want to leave a good impression but can't find one.
Lost in the thought of who you are trying to be
While the children echo their father's dreams.
Tears run down leaving a burning trail.
Clouds blow the sea of humanity; find a bucket and bail.
Open books. Answers won't jump off the page
Got to dig a little just find stuff that's aged
Lifes cruel joke keeps the best man guessing
But the story is already told to those listening.
Are they lost in a Weeping Willow jungle in the night
Without a compass to find the place, or how to get right.
Up clouds, down drowns the night swallows the sun.
No answers get questioned, when there's not a leash for some.
The wind blows and nothing moves, Am I afraid?
Found away to cope, now I am considered a stray.
If I left the rhyme because I'm still alone.
If I want a place to go, I want to go Home.
To Jesus Christ, He makes all things complete
He paid the price but everything's not free.
