“Did you know my Student, that in Roman times an “X” meant the number “ten”?"
“Well, did you know my Teacher, that in mathematics an “X” speaks of an “unknown quantity” or “variable”?"
“Yea, but did you realize my Student that in the movie industry an “X” is the kind of “movie” Christians do not go to see?”
“And were you aware my Teacher that in pirate stories we could find “buried treasure” with an “X”?”
“What fascinates me my Student is that in suspense novels an X” signifies the last “clue” we need to solve the mystery.”
“And some Scholars say my Teacher that in the Book of Genesis an “X” could be the, “Sign of Cain.””
“While other Theologians believe my Student that in the Book of Revelation an “X” could be the, “Sign of the Beast.””
“Interestingly, my Teacher the people of Scotland express their national pride and Christian beliefs by having an “X” on their flag, it’s called, “Saint Andrew’s Cross.””
“But, above al my Student, we believers must realize that in history when the sun moved across the Cross of Christ on Calvary that an “X” shadow marked the very spot where the “Son of Man” died for our sins!”
“Maybe my Teacher that is where we get that expression?”
“What expression my Student?”
“That, “X” MARKS THE SPOT!”
