On the first day of school
We recited the pledge allegiance to the flag
And this really got me thinking
That we should have been pledging allegiance
To God the Almighty.

For it was
God the Almighty that made me be
Able to walk, talk and see.

For it was
God the Almighty that made me
Able to learn, think and write
My A B Cs and 1 2 3s.

For it was
God the Almighty that made me be
Able to be in school.
So it was God the Almighty I pledged allegiance to daily.
I kept Him with me always. He was my #1 tool.

yes, I agree. I loved VBS where we pledged to the America, to God and to the Bible.

I like the way you show that God is the one that has helped you accomplish all that you have. Your poem is a few words short of the minimum word count.

This poem illustrates the love you have for the Lord. We need to lift Him up in all things. Enjoyed this!
