REST = Remembering Eternity Starts Today

Day in and day out, we check things off our to do lists. We work all day to meet deadlines. Responsibility compels us to get out of bed in the morning. What does your check list look like? Drop off dry cleaning, take the dog to the vet, soccer game at 5p.m..... How about adding a few things to your list that are eternal?

We are here for one purpose. To bring glory to our Lord. In order to achieve this, our to do lists must change. To make this happen, our focus must change. If you remove every meeting, appointment or achievement, one truth remains.

It’s all about Him. Always has been. Always will be.

When we get caught up in the busyness of the world, we must discipline ourselves to stop and change our focus. We must concentrate on the eternal things. Here is a truth that will help you: We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. The life you are living on this earth at this moment, is not eternal. Although, the choices you make right now are.

It will not matter what you have checked off your list on this earth, unless it points to Him. So, start an “Eternal To Do List” so you can rest in Him. You will always accomplish more in His strength than you will on your own anyway.

Rest always comes when our focus is clear.
