The message has a strong appeal -- to those who are heart broken, to the poor, to the grieving.

The life we pursue as Christians is filled with perils that may leave us without any hope of recovery. It is a fact that in our need for solace we pray and bring our burdens to the Lord. But for those who have no faith and for those who do no believe, finding hope becomes a trying task. It is also a fact that in our search for hope, we do not find the ultimate promise of peace. However, the point is to have faith, to believe, and in believing we find the hope that brings peace to our troubled life.

In our state of poverty and the need to sustain our life with food, we are prone to forget that message that said, you cannot live by bread alone; and as a result, we go through life without the sustenance that only God can give. We forget that our faith will sustain our needs, both physically and spiritually.

There comes a time when we find ourselves grieving for the loss of a loved one. In our grief, we tend to blame others for suffering such a tragedy. We forget to pray, for in praying we bring our load of grief to God, Who is able to touch our hearts and give us solace.

Prayer is the answer to all our needs, to any doubts that we may face, and to grief that we may endure. When we take refuge in prayer, we know that God will hear us, and in hearing us, give us the peace and solace that will sustain us throughout our life.

The End
