You work all day
The boss is a pain
Gather your children
And take them home
Your free time is taken
Cooking and cleaning
Helping with homework
And children’s problems
Sports and activities
Friends over to play
Milk and cookies
There’s no time for pampering
No time for make up
Manicures or hair-does
You look all frazzled
A massage would be heaven
Everyday you’re going
From dawn to dusk
Toiling for your family
No time of your own
Your hobbies forgotten
No movies for you
A dinner for two?
Cook your own
Saturdays are taken
With the kids sport matches
Cleaning the house
Laundry and ironing
Church on Sunday
Oh what a blessing
Two hours of fellowship
All dressed up
Then race on home
People arriving
Roast in the oven
Oh what a mess
A quick clean up
Guests arriving
Run around serving
Ignore the exhaustion
When the week is done
All worn and frazzled
Your loving reward
A kiss and a cuddle
Alone in the dark
Your thoughts on the Lord
A message comes clear
From the book you hold dear
Six days of work
The seventh for rest
Oh what a dream!
If only you could
No time for excuses
There’s always tomorrow
Obey the Lord
And rest on the Sabbath
