Recently I discovered that the older I get the more rest I need. Every since I got home from prison I have been working and going to church, not much else. I would work seventy and eighty hour weeks, then still make time for church and helping out around the church also. I really enjoy work and I also really enjoy the things I do at church. Recently I was sitting in church and was really tired, because I just got off work and only had about three hours sleep the entire weekend. Well come to find out I fell asleep in church, and they got me on the video tape. I felt so bad when they told me bout it and now I still work night shift before church, but I try to make sure I got plenty sleep before I get to church. And If I can't get the sleep I need, I have also learned to sit in back, so the camars can't see me. I explained the sitution to my pastor and he understood. He said that was what he thought when he saw the video. So this is how I learned to get rest before church even if it is only couple minutes. Please lets get plenty of rest before we are caught on video sleeping somewhere. May God bless all who read this lots. Thank God he doesn't sleep, but he does rest. That is another reason why we should rest. If God needed rest then we for sure need it also.

P.S. I know my spelling isn't that good, but I am workiing on it and I do not know any thing about how to get word prosser, or how to use it. Please bear with me if you can. I promise to always try my hardest. God Bless You lots!!

Congratulations on your new life in the Lord, and for allowing Him to speak to you and work through you!

You remind me of my husband, he calls the “rest before” a power nap. He works the 3 am shift and is taking a class or studying till 11 pm. We sit in the front. And he has nodded off more than once. Keep writing and learning about writing and the word processor, by risking putting your work out in public you will get some negative comments. Don’t you let it stop you! Writing was always in my heart, but in school, teachers gave no encouragement because of my spelling. I didn’t step out and let anyone see what I was writing till I was in college when I had to leave reports and I caught flack for my spelling. My boss called it “creative spelling” which blessed me so I showed him the poems I had written in private. God bless whoever invented the spell checker.

you just hang in there! all of us have to start at the beginning ... some of us are just a little further down the road!

...and get some sleep!

when I was a child, there were men with long sticks to poke people if they fell asleep in church. Imagine! the pastor must have been really boring if they had to have staff pokers to patrol the congregation! ha!

Godofredo, you are doing very well and I think we're all cheering you on as you grow and develop your writing. Good on you! I had a real smile at this message. I mean, you aren't the only person who falls asleep in church (even without your excuse of nightshift before). But not many get caught on camera! ;-) With love, Deb

It is good to know you are busy working towards making a new life. It is important to remember there is a time to work and a time to rest. Continue to seek God's will for your life and rest in Him. Keep trying with your writing. It was a good effort. You are doing well. God bless you.

This is one of the most precious pieces I have ever read!! Your humility is a blessing. and don't get discouraged--Jesus' 3 closest friends fell asleep on Him and look how He worked through them!! God bless you!!

God bless you. Your honesty is compelling. Please keep writing. The more you write, the better your spelling will be, so do not worry about that.

Please keep the honesty of your life at the forefront of your writing.
