…would you put up the rest of the…

…why can’t you ever finish the rest of the…

…how many times have I told you to do the rest of the…

…when are you ever going to find the rest of the…

…you are under arrest

…you alone are my dearest

…you can meet me at the restaurant…

…you certainly are restrained this evening…

WITH ALL THIS REST AROUND HERE YOU WOULDN’T THINK I’D BE SO TIRED!

…but I am…

…I’m tired of striving…

…I’m tried of failing…

…I’m tired of not measuring up…

…I’m tired of my best never being good enough…

…I’m tired of never getting any rest

wresttling

against His restoration

I’m restless

Unable to restart

Trapped by the restatements of past

Hoping for restitution

Finding only the restrictive power of my doubt

Lost in constant restive

I pray restrike me, Lord

Cast me into a replica of the original completely restructured

Calm, restful, subdued by Your love.

Totally at rest.

Dearest Lissa
This hit me, right where I needed it to, on this day in my life. Thank you for giving me a path toward rest....

I'm very interested in different styles of writing - but to intrigue me (a person who loves to write) it has to be very good and unique and your contribution this week is excellent. Extremely well done with the play on the word "rest". And the inspirational feel made it complete. God bless you for your work this week.

A very clever use of other words that include the word rest. and how thy apply to our life. Well done.

Another REST: "Rest in the Lord. Wait patiently for Him." Psalm 37:7 That is the hardest thing to do--rest and wait patiently...Good article. I detected an undercurrent of sadness and the need for you to hear a word of encouragement. I pray that God will give you the rest that you seem to be longing for.

You sure hit on a few of my restless feelings of late. Praying that God will restore you as well.
Very imaginative piece, as usual.

Lissa:

What a great way of calling peoples attention to a meaningful subject about rest. Well written, informative and right on the mark.
