You held me in your hands,
The hour glass trickles with endless sand.

Fore, our time on this earth is about to end,
We are all engulfed by sin.

The wicked deceives and welcomes us to darkness,
And he searches to find one soul that is righteous.

Looking for the light from with in,
An enter flicker that will destroy sin.

The light of God we all possess,
And is the one thing “the dark one” detests.

Don’t turn away and lose the light,
This is your soul and is worth a fight.

Open your heart and let God in,
Let your light shine once again.

Protect yourself from the one that slithers in the night,
And you will stand righteous in the light.

Very nice poem with good rhythm. I especially liked the lines:
Don't turn away and lose the light,
This is your soul and its worth the fight.
