I used to tuck little messages of love and humor in my family's lunch bags, just to remind them that they are loved and being thought of. There is a wonderful message in here and I think with some continued effort this could be a great poem. A couple suggestions: - For me, when I do struggle with poetry, I try to keep the word-count somewhat even from line to line - Change the third line to: He says dear child I’ve given you today * - No errors that I could find * - On topic X – My opinion…word counts/syllables should be similar from line to line * - Decent length X – You almost had my attention but I got thrown off track a couple times
