Then, getting married at age 18, everything changed. I did not have time to explore this pathway at all; I was already in the midst of a brand new life, and I needed to learn quickly how to walk this road.
Children came quickly, hubby had two jobs, my mom still wanted to lead even when I did not particularly want to follow. On and on and on...a dark and sometimes dreary road leading to I knew not where.
Finally, I felt enveloped in darkness. Without someone to guide me, I stumbled and fell, frequently making poor choices. Paths of destruction, despair and doom lay all around. I seemed to have a knack for putting my feet into the gnarliest messes.
Just like walking through an unfamiliar forest, there were roots and mire at every turn.
At last, along came the Lord; He gave me light, and direction, and hope for a better tomorrow. He made my pathway safe, sure and straight. How glorious it is to have One Who leads me, now, along the right way, the Holy Path!
