Is the church today, using her charm in power play
administrative louver, diplomatic maneuver
self-propelled in despair, in which power is brought to bear
Man power ensnared, marching like the devil may care
by the physical effort of human beings,
The power available, their not seeing
Satan is deceiving
changing the Gospel meaning
Focused on their on well-being
attraction no longer in Christ Cross
it's the almighty dollar they emboss
sacrifices waiting to be sold
gradually lost sight of their original foundation
generating Jesus was foretold
Iniquity, the robust offspring of the flesh
gradually increased its foothold
in the form of pride, ambition, self-satisfaction
fleshly motives doing spiritual things
just plain thoughtless habit,
Now the Holy Spirit can't inhabit
The love of the many has waxed cold
because the church is selfcontroled
The church has strayed so far away
they've forgotten how to worship
they've forgotten how to pray
but my friend there's still hope
if on their knees they bow
lift their prayers to God
He will answer now
God controls the power
give Him glory forever!

Great rhythm you've built here with a powerful message. I can see it being read, back and forth, between opposing mouths.

I AGREE, I CAN SEE A NUMBER OF PEOPLE SHARING IN THE READING OF THIS POEM. VERY NICE!

Thank you for your comment
My goal in my poetry is to get people thinking.
Is this true, could this be true, even "This is abĚsoĚluteĚly hogwash!"
