Many houses of worship in this city
Large or small I find it a pity
Like a legislative committee
They have become witty
Too much attention to self-pity
organized for a certain purpose
cross-purpose without meaning
determination to act overweening
marked by arrogance
overly proud of self and their own opinion
what is found is self-governing minion
The Gospel has been changed in meaning
God is now worshiped as a sugar daddy
Call on Him when it is handy
Lord I've got into a mess
Idolization of earthly treasure
Working hard to second-guess
Oh Lord there's so much stress
Thinking on strategies to venerate
Bargaining to regenerate
Appears to serve an important function
Excessive promise's given to God
Superficial charm, self-serving unction
Forgotten covenant
Written by the finger of God
From His throne on high
Two tables of stone,
The number one is shown
"Thou Shalt Have No Gods Before Me"
It's the only way, there is'nt another
We shall worship him and nothing other!

Thank you for your comment
My goal in my poetry is to get people thinking.
Is this true, could this be true, even "This is abĚsoĚluteĚly hogwash!"
