Water is a precious commodity.
If we do not water our lawns and gardens, the grass turns brown, the flowers wilt, and both grass and flowers die.
If we do not drink water when we are in the desert, we dehydrate, become weak, and possibly lose consciousness and die.
If we do not use water when we cook, and however good our recipe is, we shall end up with nothing to eat because the food would burn.
We use water to bathe and clean ourselves. We need water to wash and clean our clothes. Water is our main ingredient in cleaning our homes and our cars. Water is needed to douse the fire that consumes forests and even our homes. If we have nothing else but water, we can still survive even if there is no food on the table.
We use water for christening, for that blessed moment when we are baptized and indoctrinated in the lessons of our religion.
The rivers and the oceans would be just deserts if there is no water in them. The fishes need water to live and through them we get to replenish the calcium in our bodies.
Is there any thing else that water does not give?
Water is the blessing of life.
