The consequences of Pride

The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain; but Moab will be trampled under him
As straw is trampled down in manure. (Isaiah 25:10-12 NIV)

The message in this scripture passage is the Lord, telling Moab the consequences of their foolish pride. This is great example of what happens whenever a city or country or people exercise their acts of pride. It will be brought low and trampled on. In our society today the acts of pride, are in every corner of our lives daily. It is displayed on the television, radio shows, billboards advertising and enticing people, this is a lifetime achievement awards to receive. It moves stealthy in our world today, just waiting to move in and take over a personís soul. It wears many disguises this spirit of pride, is a very cunning and deceptive, also it can come in a very attractive package. It is like a parade of pride, strolling down Lifes avenues, saying look at me Iím really the greatest. This leaves little
Or no room for the Lord, to reside in ones heart and soul. In the scripture passage(Isaiah
25:11) They will spread out their hands in it, as a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim. God will bring down their pride, despite their cleverness of their hands. That no
Matter how clever and skillful a person is in life, if pride out shines the Lord our God, they will be bought low, this a direct consequence, of not living in obedience to the Lord.

While I was deep into my prayers on this subject, I asked the Lord to reveal to me the
Importance of surrendering pride. This was my revelation if I, implement devotions, and
Prayers into my daily life. To daily check my motives of my heart and soul,to keep clear
The path of my souls spiritual journey. To give me the spirit of decerment,to walk in a
Heart of humility, have the spirit of truth and honesty. So that all who are in and around
My life daily will see the light of the shining through me. May I not be caught in the parade of pomp, power, and pride? So whenever I receive any life achievements, I will give the glory and honor to the Lord, who has given me any gifts or talents. I was thinking of a life conversion, from the worldly ways, of pomp, power and pride and prestige. To one of the spirit of compassion, and consideration, to the confidence in
Jesus Christ. I like the instruction of and consequences of pride in (Proverbs 16:17-19
NIV) the highway of the upright avoid evil; he who guards his ways guards his life.

I have chosen the highway of the upright, and guard my life ways, and this will
Be a great way to guard my life. This also reminds me to avoid all paths of evil.(verse
18)Pride goes before the destruction, haughty spirit before the fall. This is made very
clear what the consequences will be if I follow this life path. This is what I thought
a building of pride, within the human soul, toppling down like a huge building coming
Down, also being accompanied by a haughty spirit. This isnít a very pretty picture
To envision. In (verse 19) Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than
To share the plunder of the proud. This gives me a clear prespective of the consequences
Of pride. So today I will choose to spend time with the presence of the humble in spirit.
And not be involved with the plunder of those filled with self pride. This scripture thought comes to my mind, the frist shall be last, and last will be first. This is a devine
Order of our Lord Jesus Christ, has promised to mankind. This speaks to my hearts tablets
May I always walk with the spirit of humility? May this be engraved in the depths of my
Soul. So these are things to ponder on daily, keep a guard on the doorway of my heart and soul. Let the guard also watch whatever my speech shall bring forth. To let my life be an example of walking in Jesus Christ confidence. To be aware of the consequences of a haughty spirit, and a heart and soul consumed with pride. For Jesus Christ is where I will
Choose to daily reside. Blessing to all of you, man the light of the Lord encompass you and yours daily.

yes, we very rarely consider the consequences of our actions....before... we act.

I think if we all check our motives the results in the world we live in will be different. Good job. Thanks for submitting it.
