Service,is described as help given to others. You may wonder what kind service can you provide, or how can you provide a service. My brothers and sisters, we provide services everyday of our lives. When we cook for our families or wash their clothes. When we pick up our children from school and help them with their daily homework. When we go to our jobs each day and work diligently. When we help the stranger on the side of the road with a flat tire. When we don’t turn our backs to a wrong doer. When we clothe the naked. When we feed the hungry. When we visit the sick and comfort the bereaved. When we allow the person in the grocery store to get ahead of us in line. When we fight for our country in honor. When we hold the door open for the person behind or in front of us. When we come together in worship in God’s house and usher worshippers in. When we sing the songs of Zion to our Lord. When we pray for a soul to be captured for eternal peace. Services are many things and more than few that we do in our daily living. But most importantly, let us be mindful that a service is providing what God has intended. Give yourself as a witness to the goodness of God while providing a service. The services that we provide to mankind, is for his glory only. Be cheerful and humble when providing any service and God will honor you. Do it because you want to hear “Well done my good and faithful SERVANT,” when your day is done.
