What is this thing called hope? What fuels this feeling that what is desired is possible, though impossible it may seem? Hope - a word that goes far deeper than definition, a word that implies expectation, desire, faith, trust and reasonable confidence. It drives us far beyond this physical world and teaches us the simple lesson that whatever we believe we can achieve. Hope gives us power over despair, authority over demonic doctrines and supremacy over every difficult situation we face in life. No matter how complicated life gets, even when the answers to the questions elude us, even when we do not understand and are sometimes unable to fit all the pieces of the puzzle together...it is hope that drives us still to contentment. Contentment that those around us question, and are confused by it. But they don't understand; they don't know.
Hope plays a vital role in our faith, as faith is the substance of things 'hoped' for and the evidence of things not seen.
Therefore, remove thy hands from thy jaw, oh Child of God, get up and smell the freshness of each morning - rise above all circumstances, stand on God's eternal promises, hope for the best - live for the rest and make it your personal quest to be contented with your life. It may be hell to you, but it's an unfinished painting to God and He's still applying the brush strokes - so never lose hope. Never give up. It is always the darkest just before dawn.
